Job Impairment: Impairment is determined through observation by a supervisor. Impairment is present when a DOC employee's, contract worker's, or volunteer's behavior or condition adversely affects performance (e.g., reduced alertness, coordination, reactions, attendance, responses, or effort) or threatens the safety of the DOC employee, contract worker, volunteer, others, or property.
